Where in Connecticut are you located?

I live right on the Hamden/Cheshire line and I work in Wallingford. I also frequent the Newtown area.

For photoshoots, I have many favorite local spots that I can recommend, but I am always open to any location that you have in mind! (Travel fee will be applied if location exceeds 40 miles)

What kind of sessions do you offer?

I do a little of everything… as long as natural light is readily available. Couples, families, engagements, elopements, pets, cake smash, birthdays, seasonal mini sessions, fresh 48, your in-laws 50th wedding anniversary…. whatever! Bring me an idea and let’s run with it!

What do I do with my hands?

Listen— I got you. Don’t worry about your hands. My job and something that sets me apart from the rest is that I make you feel at ease. You will be relaxed and having fun! There is no pressure or judgement. We become instant friends, I crack a few dumb jokes, we have a great time and I take a few photos. It’s light. It’s carefree. Come as you are. I’ll take it from there.

What do I wear?

This is definitely something we can chat about if this is a worry of yours. First and foremost, wear something that you feel good in. Try and stay away from huge graphics or logos. For the kiddos, pick something they can still run, jump, and play in (we like to have a little fun!). Pick 2-3 base colors when trying to coordinate your families’ outfits. Pinterest is a great resource!

My kids are nuts.

Is that a question? Hahahaha… listen, I am a former Kindergarten teacher and a mom of a very active 2 year old boy. Kids are full of a magical kind of energy. At the photo session, they are in charge. I get on their level and I match their energy (shy, playful, crazy - bring it!). I bring funny props with me. I bring stickers. We sing songs, we play games, we explore. It’s all going to be ok, Mom.

What if it rains?

Cloudy days are a photographers dream. Sunny days create a lovely glow. A little snow makes a photo magical. A little drizzle may add character… but yeah, if it’s downpouring/freezing/blizzard …we just reschedule!

What time are your sessions usually?

I love to take pictures during the golden hour (1 hour before sunset) and am willing to do sunrise shoots as well! Both weeknights and weekends.

How long till I get my photos?

After our session, you get at least 4 sneak peaks within 48 hours. Within 2 weeks, you’ll have them all. The number of photos you get depends on the session you choose.

Can I share my photos on social media?

YES! They are yours to do what you’d like with! Of course, I love a photo credit/social media tag!

All I ask is that you download the photos from your private gallery that I will send to your email. Though tempting, taking a screenshot of the photos really diminishes the quality of the photo and can make it look super grainy.

Can you make me look 10 years younger or a couple pounds lighter?

The short answer is no. The long answer is below.

To quote a friend of mine… “aging is a privilege”. I don’t retouch faces or bodies. I can take care of blemishes and bruises on request, but other than that… I am in the business of celebrating authenticity. Lines on your face represent a life well lived. And I get it, I’m still not always the most comfortable with my extra fluff after having my son… but I lost my Mom years ago and my son never met her. I also lost my mother-in-law and my son didn’t meet her either. Take the photo. Life is too short not to. Do it for your kids. Do it for your memories. Do it as you are.
